Dubarry's quality is no where near what it used to be sadly.

After vowing never to buy Dubarry’s I caved in 18 months ago. They lasted six months of light wear before the heal went and they started leaking.

I bought a pair of Cabot Wood boots last year in their sale. They are (so far), fantastic and much more comfortable than Dubarry.

I have a pair of Dubarry boots (more formal than country boots) and they are sadly very uncomfortable...really flat hard footbed. Think you can buy footbed inserts, but then (in my case anyway) there would be no room for the actual foot in the boot. They might be ok if you have narrow feet.
i had some Toggi country boots, very similar to those pictured by OP and they were great. Lasted years.

I’ve just gone into some ‘bareback‘ field boots and they are brilliant, very comfy, didn’t need breaking in and cost me £150 I’ve always had dubarry but wanted to try something else. definitely recommend these

I’ve just bought these too after years of wearing Dubarry’s and am really pleased with them

I have Ariat and bareback would recommend both. Surely Dubarry are only if you want to spend all day standing in a washing up bowl of water? That’s what they always seem to be doing on the stands at Burghley!!

Standing in a washing up bowl of water in Dubarrys at a show is a right of passage for the idiot off-spring of the gentry. The bright one have the sense to travel or get a more dignified job.

My ariats leak now they are 2 years old and the leather has really cracked, I have a 5 year old pair of Dublin country boots that are still waterproof and look good just a bit of stitching at the back has come undone, I was looking at the bareback boots a few days back and the mountain horse country boots can't decide lol!
