Need a passport for the new boy, nothing special, just something to record vaccinations on.
Also, does the fact he has a microchip affect him getting a passport? Or is there any way to check this? No idea what the number is but could get it checked when getting the marking chart done.
 
If he's chipped, surely that must mean he has a passport somewhere because they shouldn't chip unless they have verification of who he is surely? (might be wrong there, best check) Is he TB, cos Weatherbys would be able to give you details of him once the chip has been read.
 
No idea, have pics if you want to see, dont think he's full tb.
Previous owners didnt have one (only had him since friday) and they had him since june, so whether the ones before that thought it would be handy to have a spare 16hh bay gelding passport around I dont know..
I presume if I had the chip no. it would tell me which soceity to check with?
 
I'd definitely check the micro chip before you do anything. I dont know if you will get the info you are looking for but its worth a try. There are lots of problems re-registering horses with different passport agencies so its definitely worth looking into. Also if he already has a passport he should have and ID chart so might save you money in the long run.

Also, just an extra but I thought it was illegal to sell a horse without a passport now??
