hi all, ive been using "happy tummy" for my two as i find it brilliant stuff, but ive run out and im not sure where to get it,my previous stuff came from my trimmer but shes out of action and i dont want to bother her.ive seen it on ebay but it seems very expensive compaired to what i paid trimmer?any ideas gratefully recieved :)

I buy it direct from Fine Fettle Foods who make it. They don't charge for delivery. It was much cheaper buying it from them rather than my vet.

I also get it direct from Fine Fettle Feeds. Really good service. The larger the tub you buy the better value it is - working out the maths on equivalent £ per 100g was staggering!

3 Beasties - Happy Tummy is an unactivated charcoal, guess you could call it 'supplement' although it's inert so doesn't offer any nutritional value as such. Basically it sits in the gut and absorbs any excess gas and/or liquid before passing out with droppings. It's flakes of natural charcoal which is so porous in nature the surface area is huge. I feed it to my girl who's got a hypermotile gut.

I've said before - on another far more gushing post! - that I don't have any connection with FFF or Happy Tummy, other than a much improved little mare as a result of being on it! :)

There is another product called Gas Ease which I have used for my mare for some time. Fabulous stuff and also free delivery.

If you e-mail Equimins, they sold me some activated charcoal a while ago as a trial but they didn't put it on their web site. It's just as good but much cheaper.

I had a sample of the healthy tummy complete fibre feed the other day. Is it worth getting as my girl had colic op back in nov last year? She is on fast fibre and i was thinking of changing to this healthy tummy. Is it best to feed it dry or wet it? thank you.
