Many thankies

Do you need rugs yet? I would say most horses don't need a rug at all at this time of year and if you get a rug that doesn't leak, you should be able to get away with one one TO and one stable rug for winter. I would save up and buy a slightly better rug in 3-4 months time that will last you and not leak.

I buy mine off a particular seller on ebay who is very cheap, and that is not to say they are made cheaply as they are not, they are pretty good, had some of mine for years, i always go back to him.
I have picked up full neck heavy weight winter turnouts for 12pounds, postage is a set 12pounds, so if your there are the right time thats all in for 24quid, bargain

I will PM you his ebay username

If you buy your winter rugs now though you get a lot better prices as the sales are on. If you look at horseware ireland rugs then cybercheckout are very good but it depends on what sort of build the horse is as to what make of rugs fit him best

saxon come up small in my exper5ience

i also like the equestrian clearance site, they have some nice rugs at good prices.

buy reduced but not 'cheap' rugs tho, winter b4 last i needed a few rugs at the same time and quite urgently, and bought some from a range called 'confidence', cheap but were cr@p, only one made it through winter and even on that the legstrap clips were broken, werent strong enough for a dogs lead!

I have to rate robinsons own, when i had my first IDXTB all I could afford was two medium turnouts to last him the winter - which they did, i couldn't have been more chuffed, for £30 !!

Thank you all for your input, and PIB for your PM - shall look into these.
