Worm egg count results for 2 ponies at beginning of Jan was low (175 and 50). However they advised to treat for encysted worms. What would be best and cheapest wormer for this? Ponies were treated with Equimax in October - I believe that treats tapeworm. Can feel ribs but they have pot bellies so I'm thinking this might be the reason. Please help!

Hi, I am also needing to worm for encrusted red worm and have looked on line for the best price, But I have also noticed that you have to look closely at what you are buying as they vary in size. The link above is a 575gm where as my local store is 700grm for the same product, but more expensive. I didn't realise they came in different sizes, just wanted to say for those with different size horses.

That's right Welly, thanks for pointing it out.
I have ponies and so does the OP, so the standard 575kg tubes would be fine. However, Equest will soon only be available in 700kg tubes, which will be a lot of faffing about, dosing ponies and not wasting wormer/money.
