Hello All,
Baby horse has some inflammation of his check ligament (verified by ultrasound) not lame as per, but it is swollen and hot at certain times of the day, generally between the icing and claying phase. Currently on space restricted turnout due to being a head case if he is in the stable too long (self harming):
Routine at the moment is:
Ice for 20mins am
Turn out in bandages all day (boots were at just the wrong height and running the check)
Bring in, ice 20 mins
Leave naked legs for a couple of hours
Clay from the fridge and bandage
Has anyone got any other tips advice on what I should/could be doing? Any good experiences with alternatives to clay?
Thanks in advance
