Going to look at a dressage saddle tomorrow, its advertised locally pretty cheaply, its the same size/make as the horse had previously. My plan is to buy it and then get my saddler to check fit, if it doesn't fit then its cheap enough to sell on without losing.
Is there anything I should do to check the tree isn't broken? other than that and checking girth straps are ok is there anything else I should check?
Its a wintec.

We had a problem with a saddle and saddle lady showed us how to check. Brace front of saddle against your thighs / hips. Then pull hard on the back and try to bend upwards. Look out for creases in the leather on the seat amd listen for any creaking sounds which will indicate that the wood is broken or cracked. Saddle should be rigid and not flex. Hope this is of some help. :)
