I wonder if anyone is really organised and has one of these they would mind sharing?

I am a 35 year old woman with a daughter and a 12.2hh first ridden who went to their first show without my mum back in July (she passed away in April) and I forgot loads of stuff so have decided that for my show tomorrow I need a checklist to make sure I don't forget anything (like my daugther's show shirt
crazy.gif
and pony's boots).

I'm hopeless and disorganised and really missed the help that mum gave me at the shows (made me realise just how much I relied on her to keep everything prestine and organised!).

So do any kind people out there have something I could crib off? Daughter's doing first ridden (so need showing stuff), best handler (so need in-hand stuff) and cradle stakes (so need jumping stuff).

Thank you

Pricklyflower (disorganised and panicking about forgetting things, not getting there on time, weather, daugther forgetting jumping course and pony's behaviour)

shall we start with the obvious and work down....
Pony with head-collar and leadrope
Saddle and Bridle
Numnah if you use one
Boots for pony
Grooming kit
hoof oil and brush
chalk for white bits
rug if needed
different bit if used
haynets
water carrier (& water) and buckets
sponge and shampoo for spot cleaning

Child
Jacket
Shirt & tie
jods
boots (chaps?)
body protector
hat
whip

you
smart clothes if you're going in the ring
tea flask
bottles of water
sarnies or cash to buy them at the show

help at all?

Gloves!
Something neat and tidy and matching the outfit to tie childs hair back with if long

Poo pick or trug and gloves in large plastic sack or bin liner as many places tell you to take your poo away with you.

First Aid kit - hopefully already one in your car - small children have a habit of getting a cut that bleeds when they've not been near anything sharp

Camera/video camera/phone - so you can record it all for later viewing - missed a classic refusal today where daughter ended up with hand on jump and cartwheeled off pony which was very funny

If we're there all day I also take some fly spray or repellant and also tack cleaner, and flannels I can damp with water - daughters pony thinks with stomach and I'm always having to spot clean bits of grassy goo off (mucky eater) esp if showing

We also forget something pretty much every outing! Today was body protector and she was jumping fortunately in her raincoat which is quite padded

Hope she does well!

Thanks Dubsie

Double checked the gloves!! Pooper scooper and muck heap up at the show ground (thank goodness, don't think OH would like that in the back of the 4x4!)

Oh yes, must remember to take video camera / camera and put them on charge tonight (will do that now)

I've got her fly rug in her bag so don't have to take the repellent.

I know I'm going to forget something!! Arghhhh!

A good idea to paste on to Word or something. You can then add things as necessary and use it every time you go out.
i always do this.
(You'll probably all call me an anorak but now I am getting older the memory seems to fade quite a bit!)
lol.
