Cheeky/ridiculous posts you see on Facebook.

A lot of chancers about at the minute. Seen a few anonymous wanted ads asking to buy via a payment plan.

Then an absolute gem of a for sale ad today. She's had a TB 2 weeks and selling on, but says 'farrier coming next week so price will go up'. 😆 That's had me chuckling that one. As if the value of a horse goes up because you've put shoes on it. 😆

Tbf I went to see a tb and it only had 2 shoes on, 1 front, 1 back. It was very unlevel and I couldn't tell if it was the shoes or lame. Shoes might of made it worth buying...

“Bought 2 horses from auction. Can you help pay for them?”
The gofundme mentions RSPCA although they’ve had zero involvement in this “rescue” (purchase). Followed by some wildly overblown costs for hay, straw, feed, etc.
i know someone who did this and lets just say ex friend who basiclly kept her horses for free from people donating

That from the commercial riding premises? I was pretty gobsmacked at that request too 😳.

They bought the horses at auction, they didn’t rescue them.

ETA. Yes, that’s them 😬.

Child who cannot ride for toffee (in videos is still on LR at riding school) wants a share to ride off lead. They do not want any private instruction while riding the share and mum can just about tack up so cannot help. Just want a ‘bond with a pony’.

Child who apparently wants a career with horses looking for a share. No more than one day a week due to other sporting commitments, no longer taking lessons as feels competent. Video of classic riding school child - at least relatively well attached to pony I suppose. Mum not horsey.

Neither wanted to pay much.

Stolen horse post, more likely to be an ownership dispute rather than random thieves. Along with the look for them at Appleby comments (they are WB stallions so would stand out a little) there are highlights like “the halal people may have stolen them for meat” and “OMG that’s how Shergar went never to be seen again” - I bloody despair of the IQ of the average FB commenter.

I did giggle at one person suggesting Apple tags under their tails in the future would help.

Luckily no one yet has piped up to say ‘Yes, you’ll be fine, hun’. Everyone is saying ‘No way’.
I hope to God that's a joke post 😭

‘Can you picture a carefree ride on your horse?’

YES every day for decades on multiple horses once fully trained - clearly miraculously because I have never signed up to your online content 🙄.

(Go away advert! Seriously!).
Fairly sure it’s the same man who annoys me with constant adverts.
A training system that is basic pressure and release wrapped up in fancy marketing.
I also find the adverts patronising.

‘Selling my yearling because he (colt) needs more handling and I don’t have time each day’

Reading the comments - colt has become coltish and difficult to handle due to balls dropping, but one is a little higher and they aren’t sure about gelding yet. So be honest in the ad, no?

Hello, I'm looking to buy an older horse with a payment plan of £250 a month. I have £120 for down payment

I'm looking for an all-rounder

15.2-16.3hh, ages 8-15

novice/intermediate friendly and can live out 24/7.

😯😯😯😯
Will pay 250 a month but currently has only saved 120... Without having horse related costs?? Doubt you'd be getting any payments.
