Cheeky/ridiculous posts you see on Facebook.

I don't think a reiki and animal communicator is the best person to tell that a pony "doesn't want to be ridden" 🤣 🙈

"Would anyone who has one of these ponies offspring please tell me if they have had conformation issues or back/hip issues please. The reason I ask is because just out of interest I had a reiki and animal communicator session done and they said my boy has back/hip issues and doesn’t want to be ridden. I have a vet coming next week but just in case the vet asks about siblings having any issues I thought I’d get the information ready prior to his visit."

As always there are a lot of Wanted ads on Faceache for land / yards - I liked this one. Need lots of stables, not too bothered about fields, good school, want to live in a caravan there and want someone else to have spent the millions on it so that they can rent it. And a very specific area of the country. If I were a livery client looking for a place, I wouldn't think a lot of a YM who doesn't turn out their own horses even if the liveries get turnout.

Yards

Am I looking for the impossible or is there still places out there?
I’m looking to open a new competition yard/ full livery but proper full livery not what it is now days!
I’m looking for 20 + stables, good school, hacking fields are a bonus but I personally don’t do much turn out with my horses, but would be good for livery horses.
A walker is another bonus but again not the end of the world if not one there.
Opening for a caravan or mobile home to go in.

I am a professional rider who will take it over with a family friend who is 65 and had 2 different yards in her time.
We don’t mind putting some time into a place and some money but only if we can see the property has potential to make money.
The big thing is we want to rent as let’s be realistic who has the money today to go and spend millions! Not me I work to live
😂
😂

Looking in the Surrey area as close to junction 8 on the m25 as possible near kings-wood

If you know of something then please comment !!

On the other hand: If more animal communicators took the opportunity to tell owners their horse was dog lame and not just holding trauma from a past life or something I would respect them much more as a profession
I sometimes think I'm in the wrong job. I have several friends who use animals communicators. One paid 50euros for some one to take a look at a photo of her pony (just acquired and mostly unhandled) to tell her the pony would take time and patience to trust her. I could have told her that for free and without even needing a photo. Another with a very spooky mare was told that mare is afraid of reptiloid demons. I suggested she take the mares Internet access away as mare was obviously reading way too many conspiracy theories.

Reptiloid demons is so ballsy I almost have to respect it 😂😂 but yeah. It seems the more outlandish the claims people make the less scrutiny they come under. Like I talk all the time about our behaviourist and I am the same in real life!!! She has a PhD, 20 years experience, lectures at multiple universities, I genuinely think she is one of the most qualified equine professionals in the country and yet many people would rather pay someone to look at a photo on the Internet and diagnose a horse with a phobia of real estate agents, or pay a trainer to come teach them how to hit the horse harder.

But why bother with the science? I mean the story of his past life in the trenches of world war 1 (yep, I have heard this one as well) inducing all his current problems makes for a much more interesting story at a dinner party.

Maybe the person who diagnosed the reptiloid demons thing has beef with Scientologists and is projecting
Maybe...

Apparently, this communicator comes up with some very pertinent things that make sense and that she couldn't possibly have known about, so my friend swallows the reptiloid demons along with the rest. I suspect the rest is down to observational and deduction skills (as well as possibly some prior social media research). The communication does appear to be a bit one way, though: when asked to avoid eating yellow flowered plants for her health (mare previously had a very bad case of Australian stringhalt due to eating the wrong things), the mare apparently "refused because it's too hard for her to resist eating them".

One good thing that did come from the "communications", is that my friend now has a better relationship with her mare (this is her second mare and she is like chalk and cheese with her first, who is my friend's horse of a lifetime) because the communicator said that mare sees friend as "her human". Ever since, my friend has been a bit more understanding and patient with mare.

I was on a yard where a proper numpty bought ex racer. Got a communicator out because it didn't like bring ridden ignoring my suggestion that maybe the fat leg had something to do with that. Obviously this communicator knew their stuff because the horse told them about his racing history and he remembered a blue lorry. So I told her the horses racing history and got told I've got a gift. No I said, I've got access to Google and asked if they'd given the communicator the racing name or stable name when they booked. Of course they had given the racing name but oh no, the commicator wouldn't have looked it up on Google before coming out and the lorry memory as well, previous owner had a blue lorry. What proportion of horseboxes are blue?
