Anyone else organised their days around it to be sat in front the tv this afternoon?

Surely today is all about Constitution Hill…
 
Hoping this baby stays inside now for the rest of the week so I can watch!

Just seen itv advertising the blinking social stable, please no 😝

I want to see more of the horses, they only show about 3 before the race, usually the strongest fancies. Show us more of the retired ones that go to parade, would be good PR to show what they're getting up to now

I don't want to see drunk people or fashion! I know they have to appeal to multiple people, but we get multiple slots not just one on these things, it wouldn't be quite so bad if we just had one.

I remember one channel before the GN I think? Used to send one of their ex jockey presenters to ride a couple of the horses before the race that used to be really interesting as they said how they behaved etc

Ruby's analysis is really interesting, I'd happily see more of him too

Need to do my ITV 7 not that I ever win!
 
Totally agree re the coverage. I had ummed and ah’d about going but opted for the TV. Fingers and everything crossed for Constitutional Hill. How emotional the race named for Michael O’Sullivan will be.

I end up turning the volume off between a lot of it; I still miss the days of Channel 4 racing when they used to show you every horse in the paddock and a bit of form. You can’t possibly pick winners when you don’t see them all!

The social stable thing is awful, I watch quite a few other sports on tv and no-one else gets as much nonsense crammed around their sport as we do.

Happy Cheltenham week! I’ve booked the whole week off the work so I’ll be glued to the tv 🤣

I don’t enjoy the ITV coverage, especially the social stable but I find the NH ones less painful than the Royal Ascot ones.

Really looking forward to CH vs BDA today and also Lossiemouth.

I’ve had a couple of small bets (50p ew) - Victtorino and Frero Banbou in the Ultima, Joyuese in the Mares and Murcia in the Fred Winter.
 
I've only gone and arranged an appointment at the vet for my dog this afternoon at 2.45.

Obviously I hadn't realised that it is Cheltenham.
 
I’m very nervous… as they are working on our power lines today. I’ve turned everything off, even the Aga, and hope the solar will cope.
If not my laptop is charged and I’ve got RUK. (As long as router has power).

And as I won’t back an Irish trained horse I’m very much not going to get rich today!
 
Just looked at the runners for the first.

11 to run, all but one Irish and 6 from Mullins.

I hope that it's a cracking race in memory of MO'S but surely the UK trainers could have come up with more than 1 runner?

Just saying ‘hello’ to everyone. Another National Hunt racing fan here. I probably won’t join in much as I record the racing, start a little late so that I can fast forward all the annoying or boring bits.
Back in the day, I watched every moment in real time, but as others have said , the coverage is nothing like as good as it used to be.
If I save some to watch in the evening, I have to completely ignore all social media.
I agree the jockey cup is annoying, so over promoted, let’s just get to see all the horses in the paddock and cantering down.
Will be watching Constitution Hill live if I can, but peeping through my fingers!
