Cheltenham 2025

Admittedly, saw the first race and woke up for Lossiemouth. She won nicely, I should have kept the faith in her but I went for Jade. I decided to cash out as I do believe constitution hill will win.
Not a bad first day for me though.

Holy moly. So glad both CH and State Man seem ok, they are gonna be sore. Great win for Golden Ace. Looks like I made the right decision to cash out 😂
 
Good SM got up that looked nasty on his neck, can't really tell what he did on the replay stride looked fine, not quite enough height?

Wonder where Lossiemouth would have finished?!

Winning jockey looks like he has a helmet cam on would be interesting to see his view of the race
 
Umm, not quite as good as Istabraq then? Lovely little mare, just kicking myself as I considered going round the bookies and putting my change on the three outsiders seeing as there was only 7 runners but thought what if I can't find somewhere to park? I'd have been quids in!
 
I hate to be that person but Golden ace would have definitely beaten 2 off the best horses fall the other mare better days ahead got nearly ran into by state man pushing her to the back of the pack. The other horse that came second and third would have also lost . The outsiders just got lucky they would have been easily beaten if nobody fell.

But that's the whole point of a jumps race, it's about the jumping!
 
Horrible fall. Sadly hardly a classic IMO, and a very small field, sad that the great horses never completed but then they do need to jump.

I am pleased that a small trainer won and I believe the owner has been a supporter for years which is great.

I have to say though, that is not to my mind a memorable CH.

Why would you want to see two champions on the floor and have an undeserved winner of the champion hurdle.
