Cheltenham 2025

Hardly ridiculous..
Why would you want to see two champions on the floor and have an undeserved winner of the champion hurdle.
Why undeserved? She won fair and square and beat the second favourite easily. I will ignore you now as you aren’t ruining this thread for me.
You have to jump the jumps to win the race.

I hate to be that person but Golden ace would have definitely beaten 2 off the best horses fall the other mare better days ahead got nearly ran into by state man pushing her to the back of the pack. The other horse that came second and third would have also lost . The outsiders just got lucky they would have been easily beaten if nobody fell.

Better days was done well before she was hampered.

I’ve just switched to RTV (sorry for getting it wrong earlier, I hope you could work out what I meant).
So pleased to see Daryl Jacob working for them and doing an excellent job.

It was a small field, with the arguably best two wiping themselves out with horrid falls. And I'm not decrying the winner, but this year's Champion Hurdle was for me a disappointment. I expect the Istabraq type races.

And I did the winner!

One of the worst bits of riding coming into the last fence, jockey should be banned

That poor horse, lucky he didn't break his neck

Pretty sure he would have won

I rarely watch the racing these days but had seen a few people comment on Facebook that he's the best there's ever been. My first thought was better than Istabraq? Really?

Did they show the ROR parade on ITV? I thought it started at 1 so switched on just after then, but think there had been 15 minutes of coverage before so I may have missed them but certainly didn't see it on what I saw

just curious as to how come? I don't follow racing at all so just a ponder!
Because I’m terribly parochial. 🤣.
Actually I really like Willie Mullins and Henry De Bromhead. But I always want the Brits to win.

It would be like backing Ireland v England in the Six Nations. It would be likely Ireland would win but to me I would be saying I didn’t want England to. So I don’t bet in those situations .

Anyone watch the Opening Show? Home Schooling. I see A Plus Tard is winning at showing and dressing. This must be a new ROR competition I’ve not heard of 🤣

I haven't see the Opening Show but A Plus Tard is, I think, with a dressage rider competing in Ireland. They have a retraining organisation with competitions called Trio Eile which I have just had to check means "another direction" which I think is lovely. He is a cracking looking horse that is for sure.

Yes I was joking. Predictive text must have made dressage into dressing.
