Cheltenham Countdown

Cheltenham is my favourite week of the year. Whole week booked off work, folk know not to bother me cos I wont answer the door or the phone. Will be riding my boy in the mornings and decamp to the sofa from 1pm onwards. I absolutely love it and flick between RUK and C4, bliss :) Tbh this year I havent really taken much notice of whats fancied for what, it seems quite wide open if you take WM out of the equasion so Im just hoping it wont be a complete whitewash.

So sad about Faugheen. horses, who'd have 'em.
MyBoyChe - I am exactly like you, weeks holiday booked and sofa readied, RUK and C4. Love every minute!

I would love to see Annie Power win. She got beat in the World Hurdle at her first festival then had that horrible fall last season when she was cruising in the mare's hurdle, but she is a really classy horse when she's on her A game so 3rd time lucky maybe. She could get supplemented for the Champion Hurdle and she would get the weight allowance so would have to be in with a good chance.

Gutted for the Moores that Ar Mad out - think he might at least have given Douvan something to think about in the Arkle. Looking forward to Bristol De Mai in the JLT, he looks the real deal, and Thistlecrack in the World Hurdle.

Week off work and will be there on the Tues - can't wait!!

Im another gutted about Ar Mad, Im a huge fan of his, Hope the Tizzards have a good Cheltenham with Thistlecrack & Cue Card. I just cant wait, friends and family know not to call in or ring me, Im v ery anti social Cheltenham week.

We're organising a Cheltenham Preview event in Cirencester, not sure if it will break the rules if I post the link , but it is for The Injured Jockeys Fund so hopefully not! The link is : http://www.injuredjockeys.co.uk/event.asp?$=258&o= and tickets are only £15 and everything goes to the IJF.

We have some great speakers including Nico de Boinville coming along, I'm pretty excited about it! This is the first time in years my work has actually been really fun, I've got to talk racing for weeks while we arranged it ( totally valid excuse to read Racing Post at my desk finally!)

I'm another who watches all of Cheltenham. Just hope the prizes are spread about a bit and it's not a Willie Mullins whitewash. It does seem that even if he loses a horse to injury he has another top class one to take its place, whereas poor Gary Moore...
Mariposa your event sounds great, pity I live so far away now.
