Just had a text from the person I was going with who has had a call to say it is cancelled. Not very surprising but people may want to ring and double check themselves as I do have this a bit second hand!

Only joined the BSJA as all the eventing was cancelled...

Oh well, have to hope I can get to some on a surface some time soon.

I don't understand how all of these big shows are cancelling, we had the worst weather (seriously torrential rain) last Friday and we still managed to run our local agricultural show and it was a great day, apart from towing the lorries in and out the actual rings didn't get churned up at all!
 
I would guess maybe because it is on the racecourse? So they can't afford to destroy the ground round the racecourse?

No idea, as I said it is second hand so I hope I am not wrong, but friend seemed pretty sure. Their website says it is still going ahead but hasn't been updated since last Sunday.

Yep, but sadly on Sunday and I am otherwise engaged that day with Ben_and _Jerrys.

Never mind, saves me bathing pony tonight I guess!

Do have fun on your trip, I am dying to hear the outcome...

If Dorset cancels too I shall cry - my mother has offered to take us out for a meal! (so if you can come too we can all go!)
 
The hand is at Clevedon so reasonably far south. Think its something like J20 or J21 of the M5? Not entirely sure, it has a website if you google it.
 
We had several horses entered for BSJA - well with the rain today it would have been under water
