Know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but did they really need to run Envoi in this, its such a tough race

@Crazy_cat_lady i completely agree. He won the other week and I said then, I hope he can retire now. The poor boy owed them nothing. I’m quite angry about it to be honest.

Same here, really quite angry and its soured it for me, you could see him at the back approaching the 2nd last. He'd served them so brilliantly and now cant enjoy retirement because they wanted him to "have final race"
Its bugging me now, im sure theres been at least one other who died because of "one last race" but I cant remember who
Why have they bought Stattler back, i thought he was doing really well ROR can remember an article on him and he looked amazing

Not an unfair comment at all. At 12 years old, there was no need to put him in such a tough race that he was unlikely to win. Not when he has won you 10 grade 1’s.

I see no reason Envoi Allen should not have run. He won his last start and looked fit as a fiddle.
