Sean Bowen did well there!

Meanwhile in Ireland... Aurora Vega (full sister to Facile Vega) just won well.

Shame we won't see Famous Bridge today. Nicky Richards really deserves a big winner.

I do wonder about Iroko. When I saw him win his novice chase at Warwick I thought he was the next big thing. I know he's had injuries, but he never seems to have fulfilled the promise seen in that run. It may be that he's just massively gone out in trip, which is why they're talking about the National for him. Who knows?

Thrilled for Stage Star's owners (I have to say, I was someone who thought he'd benefit from a run over hurdles, but what do I know!!?). But even more thrilled for L'Homme Presse. What a story! If you haven't seen the vid about him on the Jockey Club's FB then you need to. It's utterly heart-warming.

Or was his handicap mark being protected today ? stewards did question his running.

"Cheltenham stewards enquired into running/riding of Iroko. Jonjo O’Neill Jnr said he’d lost confidence jumping after his fall at Ascot; been schooling him. Aim to get him jumping. Found himself in a pocket turning for home, felt flat out. Needs upping in trip. Explanation noted." - Lydia Hislop, summary of the bha

They looked into Delta Work's run as well.

I haven’t watched the racing yet, except for Stage Star. Everyone out shooting was sworn to silence so I didn’t see the result. I was so excited, gutted to be beaten. My boy looked great (and yar boo sucks to the doomsayers!).

He did look great didn’t he! I was so relieved. I started the thread about him a couple of weeks ago but this was a great run, and hopefully they’ll pick something appropriate for his next run to try and follow it up.
