Chepstow BE 80T

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some feedback on Chepstow BE 80 in terms of suitability for a green horse that lacks bait of confidence...

Any insight to this course would be greatly appreciated!

Also, any recommendations for a good first run (if Chepstow is not the one) would be great in the South West area

The Curre pony club are having an unaffiliated ode over the course, I think before the be one. Have you looked at the course on Facebook?

Ah thanks for that- I will enter the unaffiliated ODE for practice I have looked at the course pictures online, however just after some feedback as to how the course rides. The XC clear round rate is only 56% for Chepstow, so it's got to be a little tricky

An affiliated BE event can be more straightforward than a PC event by a significant degree. PC events can be an absolute nightmare of complexity & randomness.
West Wilts at the end of June should be a nice inviting course.

I did think that... with a BE at least you have the regulation

West Wilts do not have an 80 until later in the year unfortunately.

There's a RC event at WW at the end of June, which has an 80cm.
