Does anyone have any experiences with this? I think my dog has it, it started off as a lump sometimes protruding, sometimes not, and the vet said it was likely cherry eye. We've kept an eye on it and now it is constantly poking out from the lower part of her eye, is way more obvious and easy to see. We are going to go back to the vets of course, but has anyone else dealt with this?

My friend breeds bulldogs and she sees this sometimes. She has a vet who will operate very simply. I personally have no experience and do not know if there are any arguments for not operating vs operating. Im sure others on here will have more advice.

Thanks. I did a little research and it seems to require surgery, though you can leave it. I can't find out much about the pros and cons, though it seems as if leaving it could lead to future problems, I'm not sure what though! And there is an updated method of surgery with the least risk of complications - the old method involved removing the gland itself, as opposed to replacing it in the eye area. A vet appointment will be made this week :)

Of our four animals, there seems to be at least one issue each! Pets, who'd have 'em :D
