Wondered who else is going?! We will be there on the Tuesday

I've managed to qualify my wonderful 27 year old for the Second round senior class at the Cheshire County show, can anyone help with the judges:

Ms C Hamilton, Derbyshire & Mrs P Hollings, Lancashire

Does anyone know them and know what type they prefer?! Im new to the showing world, and have seen others asking about judges and what 'type' they prefer :-)

Penny Hollings is part of one of the most prolific showing families that has ever existed. The family produce plaited ponies and have won many many champioonships at HOYS. She will like everything neat, tidy and very well turned out at the very least.

I have never encountered the other judge.

Good Luck!

Penny hollings will be vet very hot on manners! And pony should be true to type and move freely

If C Hamilton is Caroline hamilton then she is chairman and head judge for CHAPS so will like her coloureds

Arh ok! See I did say I was new to Showing, so actually had no idea! Plaits I can do and I will make sure she is looking as white as possible! Thank you very much x

Thank you, my girl SHOULD behave (unless anyone is jumping nearby and then she will just want to canter and go jumping!)

Unless I keep the poo stains on her, the CHAPS aspect wont be in our favour! x

Does anyone know how big the classes usually are? (sorry for all the questions!)

Will anyone else be there Tuesday?

Do you know if you can find out how many entries there are in each class? (are they published anywhere?) Trying to plan what time we need to leave!

Silvershadow, Traffic getting in is awful so I'd get there really really early.
Last time I went it took an hour and a half of queuing to get in the gates for an 8.30am class. I ended up getting pony ready in the lorry whilst mum was driving as we had to queue that long

I had heard that traffic can be bad. They have also said they will carry out lorry inspections on the way in to make sure everyone pays, I think that may make things a little worse!

Journey is about 2 hours for us, so ill allow four, just in case! (Although im not too sure what time my class will be yet!)

Conniegirl, will you be there this year? x

I won't be there, I was supposed to be at Lincoln on Wednesday but now have a lame pony so going to use the wrist bands and go for a day out instead

I'm going
on Tuesday, daughter is competing for the first time! Have been as a spectator for many years and traffic is always awful. Thankfully her class is not until late afternoon so hoping to be there for lunch. Good luck xx
