Can someone please help? I sold a horse to a guy called Barry Cox back in around 2003 (could have been 2002 i am terrible with dates) -he worked for the cheshire farmers and used the horse on each meet. I have since discovered that Barry sadly passed away in a riding accident however i have spent the last 6 years trying to track this horse down - he was a 17.2 chesnut gelding with one white sock on his left hind and a star and snip, he was very fine and had a few black splodges on his hind end and shoulder, he was aptly named BIG - if you hunt with the cheshire farmers do you remember him? do you know who Barry sold him to before his accident? or do you have any suggestions on how i could track him down? any suggestions or help would be much appreciated, thankyou

I've hunted for them for a while and I can't recall him. I do recognise the sound of the horse though. What breeding/build etc was he?
Have you tried phoning the hunt?
I'll try and help you track him down becuase I know lots of people who hunt with Cheshire Farmers, so its inevitable that someone will know where he is :)

Neen. Sadly you are correct Barry was involved in a horrible accident out on exercise. The last pack he was with was the Brecon during 2005 I think, so you could try contacting the Masters there. Alternatively you could try the secretary @ the Cheshire.

Gee88 & Countrygirl thankyou so much for your reply (many apologies for the delay - wireless issues) i have contacted the cheshire farmers in the past and they were unable to help however i have discovered today that Barry sold Big 2 weeks before his accident.
I shall try to contact the brecon and also see if there is a way of attaching his picture to my profile, Big was an amazing horse and very very fine and slight in frame with no top line.... i never knew his breeding as i bought him without papers, his only other distinguishing feature was he did make a slight noise... i was told he may need a hob op however at the time i was young and really couldn't make end's meet thus a very very reluctant sale. Many many thanks again for your help i shall keep trying and keep you posted on any progress :)
