Chess M coming to England in 2009?

I hear through the grapevine that the homozygous stallion Chess M is coming to stand in England next year. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

If it is, then it is good news that he will be easily available to British coloured breeders - will be nice to see some stock from different bloodlines cropping up, instead of the same few homozygous horses.

I am not aware of any semen agent discussion for Chess semen...that sounds odd.

I have just last week decided to stand him at Stud at Groomsbridge, where Milky Way will be when Sally told me she will have an EU stallion station in 2009. So he will be under saddle and available AI within Europe, which is what I wanted for him, rather then have him stand here at a station where he will not be ridden at all.
 
Chess will be coming to board with us as of April 2009 to stand at stud and further his ridden career.
We are a stud and competition yard that stands stallions not semen agents .
 
Wow! That's brilliant. We are going to use him next year (have NFFR as mare didn't get in foal for this year).

Do you think people will be able to come and meet him? Sorry, I'm so excited!! We fell in love with him the minute we saw him on Morgan Equine.
 
Thats right he has been offered a place to train and compete in Germany.
I cant remember exactly now but the rider is trained by an olympic rider so a fabulous oppotunity that couldnt be turned down.
As i said to Gwen its a once in a lifetime opportunity.
He should still be available in England though as he should be stationed at an EU collection centre while being trained which is excellent news.
All very good news for coloured breeders though that he is still available and it just shows the quality that the horse must have to be selected.
Im sure if Gwen has time she will come on and elaborate.

Actually i have just found this which is what Gwen said.
"I have been asked by a rider training at the DOKR, the German Olympic Committee, if I would be interested to have Chess go there to be trained in the German Olympic Training Center in Warendorf. Since this is a great offer as he would be trained and competed by this rider, who is trained by Frank Ostholt. So I have made the decision to let him go there to give him that big chance of a lifetime.

The only thing we are still discussing is how the shipping of semen will work from there, if they would do it from Warendorf or at Holkenbrink who is round the corner as it needs to be an EU station."
