chest expander/ extender

Hi All,

Quick question, ive got a mark todd stable rug that is a little snug, I got an excellent bargain and couldnt resist but its a little tight round kizs chest, however it doesnt have the usual buckle fastenings its the clip ones and now im wondering if there is such thing as a rug extender for these sort of fastenings?

If it is the same fasteneres as the Amigo/Rambo rugs you can get expanders for those. Shire do a buckle one.

Hi, when I needed a custom chest expander, I asked a lady on ebay to make me one as she had similar products on her site. PM me if you'd like her details - she was very helpful - I've ordered other custom bits too

I am so sorry I have the strangest sense of humour sometimes. It's just that these posts have conjured up in my mind an image of your horses all rowed up in their stables using those springy chest expanders puny men used to use to try and look more
macho. Now I can't seem to shake the ridiculous vision off.

You could try putting a leather dog collar, buckle part outwards, through the ring on the rug, do it up to the right length to suit & then putting the clip of the rug fastener onto the D ring we usually use for a dog lead. Just clip & unclip from that when needed no need to ever alter it (unless the horse gets fat)

Could you use those attachable rings for saddles without D rings? The ones that attach to the stirrup bars, with a little loop of webbing and a D-ring at the end?
