Hi, my foal (1yr 1month) seems to have some little white hairs in her chestnut coat. Has anyone ever had a foal that is chestnut become a roan. She is a paint, her mum was bay and her dad is a black and white tabino paint.

My mare when I first knew her looked more chestnut than roan, there was only a little bit of white patterned on her flanks to suggest that she was roan rather than chestnut. Now, aged 23, she's much more roan, only solid chestnut bits of her are her legs and head.
