Chestnut horses, and their markings. Do you have a preference?

I love my boy's defiance to being completely orange - he has a sandy coloured mane - not that you can see that in this pic. His stripe could do with straightening up - am waiting for the judge to say something about a head tilt because my instructor has had to catch herself on occasion when far down the arena. And I'm quite tempted to straighten up his socks. But other than that, he has totally swayed me - I wasn't really a chestnut fan until he came along. They must have some white, for me, though.

I admit I do love a horse with 4 white socks, especially a chestnut! :D

Current horses are both chestnut - one just has a small star and the other has a tiny bit of white on one of his heels.

The other 3 chestnuts on the yard (not mine) all have a star, a snip and 2 white socks.

My tb is bright chestnut, a small star, snip & 2 white hind socks.. & for some bizarre reason he has 3 black so lodges down his neck... Apparently others with his blood lines have this too... I personally love a chestnut but then I'm bias!

What breeding is your lad? My chestnut tb also has black spots through his coat. All over his body in summer! His sire is Kyllachy grand sire pivotal

this is my lad he has unusual face markings and a beautiful head *i think* which drew me to him instantly. He has a back whit sock to mid cannon and a diagonal front white Pastern
