chestnut mares

I never really thought people took this seriously, but it seems so! I've had two chestnut mares - one native, one almost pure Arab - and both were completely brilliant. First one was totally placid and utterly sweet-natured, the Arab could be a bit of a tart and could be quite lively to ride but was practically faultless to handle and very sweet. Nastiest horse we ever had was a little bay mare who looked like sweetness and light but was genuinely mentally disturbed.

I wouldn't look twice at a horse's colour to be honest, apart from a slight sinking feeling at keeping a grey clean!

My TB is a chestnut mare, she's true to TB type, very sensitive and so voice trained, bit flighty/spooky, but generally safe but that's the TB, I think, not the chestnut.
Gentle, no malice at all.

She sounds very like my friend's chestnut tb mare.

Also, I'm not like joe experienced horse person or anything but it seems to me that generally speaking mares can be more sensitive and possibly volatile as a gender. Not all of them obviously, but you definitely need to present your argument more persuasively with a mare!
