I have one and she is the sweetest animal I have ever come across.Tell me all..... cannot believe I am thinking of buying one...
Amber was a stereo-typical Chestnut mare but Lottie (bay) is exactly the same. They do have similar breeding so I imagine it's that, not her colour.
Snap!We have one! She's amazing, she has a personality but no bother at all! Also has 4 white socks...double trouble!
My girl gets that shine every time shes clipped! So beautiful. Some chestnuts get a lovely golden irredescent shine
Same . Personally I don't think you can beat a Chestnut, Welsh mare, but I get they aren't everyone's cup of tea. Mine is a bit of a diva, but polite and respectful with it. I've had to earn that respect though. It's a huge ego boost that I am able to live up to her expectationsI have a lovely chestnut mare, she lives up to some of the stereotypes, but I think that's just because she's welsh.
I like hot tempered and opinionated, so it's a plus to my mind.

OMG it's brilliant! It was all dug out, membraned, eco gridded & then filled with limestone. Easy to poo pick, drains better than concrete, not slippy, if I keep scraping a scoop or two of mud off night & morning, that keeps on top of it. They live on there in winter as my fields are sloping clay and completely useless. Legs & feet stay dry, no muddy rugs, it's heaven! It's the only way to manage on clay!Beautiful mare, but the nice yard surface also caught my eye! That looks ideal for Winter
