Hi there, my pony on his front right leg has a more prominent chestnut than on the left. Is this normal? He isn't showing pains, lameness or discomfort but I was just wondering whether this is normal. Thanks :)

Maybe his left leg has been peeled more recently. How often have you owned the pony?
I wait until theyre damp and peel them off

I have had this pony for 8 years and his right chestnut has always been slightly more prominent but it just seems bigger at the moment.

Not at all. Dampen them with baby oil or when you next bath them. Get your nails underneath an edge and pull. They don't feel anything!

Oh okay, thank you very much. Just one more question is it a bad thing to have biggish chestnuts on their legs?

I can't imagine so. Apart from being a little but unsightly. Perhaps someone else will comment and know something I don't though! :)
