Anyone else find chestnuts are particularly sensitive skin wise, or have a lot of coat/skin issues?

Mine is only really comfortable when I use the goat hair body brush, he gets v scurfy and itcy even though hes on supplements to help. V sensitive to flies and getting bitten. And girthing even though everythings been checked.

Ours is very very ticklish. His skin seems more sensitive than other ponies we have had.
He hated the big flies down in the new forest!

my chestnut mare's skin marks easily - fly bites come up almost immediately and if she has a little tap with the whip it looks like ive been beating her! its awful, ive had to stop using one! shes only really sensitive on her belly though when being groomed.
