HI.

I have just purchased a cheval liberte touring 2016 model. As there is no trailer hitch lock, can anyone recommend one. I have looked at the Bulldog KN mini lock. Some sites say it fits hitch K20 and others don't. Has anyone got one? Also has anyone used the stronghold knott hitch lock. Again supplier couldn't clarify if it would fit. I am in Ireland so a long way to ship if its wrong. Just to add, I need it whilst hitched.

Thanks.

We use a wheel clamp so that we can secure the trailer when it is left connected to the car. Our hitch locks as well.

I don't tow with the trailer locked to the car. I lock it to the car when we are parked up to go hacking, as a second level of security. When the trailer is stored at the stables it has a wheel clamp and a hitch lock on it.

Thanks. I wont tow with it on, but need to secure trailer when I go hacking and will be hitched to the car. What make of hitch lock are you using? Thanks.

It's a Bulldog. Any good caravan place will have a choice. At the end of the day no lock is 100% secure, it's just a deterrent. My trailer is a Bockmann and it has a lock built into the hitch itself. So, we only use a separate trailer hitch lock when the car isn't attached. I believe you can get hitch locks which allow you to keep the car attached but we just make sure we park in busy places with the wheel hitch on the most visible side of the trailer.
