Has anyone used one of these - what are the opinions both good and bad please.

Am thinking of changing to one but currently have trusty Ifor Williams, so going out of my comfort zone.

I recently looked at these before deciding on my Ifor. They seem pretty good but my OH tried towing them both and said the cheval was a bit too light for him. We have also spoke to someone who had one and he said him and alot of other people have had problems actually getting the hitch off the car. If you are not on a complete level the hitch will not come off.He had to drive around several times to find a flat surface! Not sure if anyone else had this problem but it put us off. One good thing is that the ramp is on the other side to an Ifor. Therefore if you have to unload at the roadside you dont have to unload them into the traffic.
 
Just another thought.. One thing that put me off also was the floor. In a new ifor there aluminium with rubber on top so if there is a problem you can just take the mats out. With a cheval the floors are glued down. If there is a problem with the floor i presume you have to have it all replaced?
 
Never towed one so can't comment on that. They are light and airy - which I liked. However on closer inspection the workmanship wasn't great and I thought the bodyshell was flimsy - I have a big horse and I wasn't confident it was robust enough. They have lovely generous headroom and some good design features - if I wanted a trailer for ponies I would probably go for one as they represent good value - but I wanted something up to the job - I went for a Bateson.
 
Thanks for the comments, will certainly check the tow hitch thing.

Was also concerned about the lightness of the trailer but was told the shape of the trailer at the front helps with the wind flow etc.

It's only to be used for a 15.2hh so am not quite as concerned that not as robust looking as the Ifor. Also liked the Bateson but they are around £1k more down here.
 
I've got one, bags of room, tows like a dream, no problems with the hitch and can hitch and unhitch on my own.

Asti has flung herself around in it and no problems.

The sealed rubber is done to stop any moisture getting to the floor and rotting it.

Its been a really good buy.
 
Thanks Gingermare, it's nice to get comments from someone who is actually using one.

That's not to say I don't appreciate everyone else's comments as it's interesting to know what others think.
