Chewing Deterrent

Ok, Archie my yearling has now chewed his way through 3 leadropes into a state that they are so disgusting I've had to chuck them!

I soaked the first in malt vinegar, apparently he likes that! The second had a coat of chili oil, nope yum yum, he likes that too! So I need something that he's going to hate for the next, any idea's??

No bite is good but with it being a leadrope its gonna get on your hands to so might not be a help.

What about that stuff which stops beople biting their nails?

Tobasco Habenaro sauce - although be careful with touching your eyes etc afterwards!!

Also worth noting that with Tobasco and chilli oil - you cannot compete in FEI events......
