I rather find they have gone out of fashion again. They are still being bred but not as desired. Shiz Tsu and Lasa Apso seem very popular at the moment.

A lot depends on the area you live in, I think. Chihuahuas were never in here, we're still in the grip of the poodle cross (particularly smaller types e.g cockerpoos and schnoodles, not labradoodles) and a peculiarly middle class yummy mummy craze for working cockers.

Happy to report that KC registrations for Siberian huskies have plummeted to pre 2005 levels - doesn't mean much when you think about all the unregistered litters but hopefully indicative of a general trend.

We have 2 chihuahuas we bought last year. I don't really see that many in my area.

We have two Chi's, One long haired, one short. Not many in our area either. Ours were bought last year also. Not as a statement, but because they suited our life style. Super little dogs.

Lots of Husky types or Staffies our way.
