Its not the backing its the schooling thats the problem. Can your child school a pony? Have they been taught how to school a pony?
The kids at our yard were backing and schooling ponies at very young ages but they knew no different and where hunting on the lead rein.

so off to see one this weekend, with another possible if that one isnt suitable. I just hope they are genuine as the first one is a fair trek but thats fine as long as the pony is as they have described and not the complete opposite. And a few other options cropping up too. Im all excited now
