How many lessons a week/month would you say is ok?

Looking to have a instructor come out twice a month when we get the new schools

I know,it will make a huge difference having both a indoor & a out door.

Will feel safe letting my children ride without me hovering over them

Hi my daughter has 2 a week she is 11 . i suppose it depends on what you are doing showing/hacking

She is only 7 years old, & takes after her mother,she wants to be a sjer

My sister has been riding since she was 6 I think. She is now 10. She has always had half an hour a fortnight and she doesn't have a horse at home. She used to sit on mine but not ride her.

But then she doesn't have any grand ambitions...

My daughter normally has one lesson a week (age 10).

im 14 nd have 1 lesson a week at the riding stables. suppose if different having your own though.

when i was 8 i had a pony on loan and had 2 lessons a week on him and 1 lesson on a school horse....then at 11 i had 2 lessons a week, paid fo 1 woked for he other, and at 13 i had 3 lessons a week 2 on my loan horse and 1 on a school horse. i'm 15 and don't have lessons at the moment but will be having 2 lessons a week when i start having them again

My daughter was horse mad from the earliest I can remember, and would ride more than one pony if allowed.
I taught her myself until she joined the PC and often that meant every day!
We had an outdoor school and straight from school she would either ride on her own or join in any lessons I was doing.
Now aged 18 it's not uncommon for her to have a private lesson with her trainer then ride two more horses on the next two class lessons...
I always made sure when my kids were small we had fun. That's the operative
word, we did races, poles, tiny jumps etc, and even when learning on the lunge there was always lots of laughter.
The number of lessons doesn't matter a bit, it's what they do in them. Boys get really bored unless challenged, so cowboys and indians goes down well as do gymkhana games. My sons rode until they got to the stage I refused to tack up or groom for them other than plait, at the first sign of tack cleaning etc they changed to mountain bikes....
My daughter on the other hand would still ride all the hours of daylight, and then later with floodlights!
