childrens saddle

ok this is going to be a bit odd but here goes.

i own a 14.2hh and want a saddle that i can put on her that my daughter can have a ride round on.

my daughter is only 19mths old so will need a bit of support around her and something to hold onto.

is there anything on the market that matches this requirement? or am i asking for the impossible?

other thing is that will any child saddle fit my mare?

or if anyone can suggest a cheap alternative - im all ears

These are great little saddles for teeny ones and will easily fit on any size horse I would have thought (although it may look a bit silly on a 14.2, but still!! ;-))

one thing i'd be aware of... is at 19months old, her legs will be very short, and perhaps too short to sucessfully 'sit' in a saddle on a 14.2...?

mind you, shetlands can be wide too i guess.

my 2yr old 'rides' my 15.1... but he literally has to balance on top as his legs don't hang enough down the side. we're looking for a small pony for him at the moment and intend getting him one of those saddles with the handle on the front.

i think it's good getting them on young, my son is fearless and has such a natural balance. i got my first pony at 18months old too.... x

if i had land i'd already have a pony for her!!

shes fearless around horses and would just love to get her on board. im looking at a sheepskin pad a bit like the felt saddles but in sheepskin instead.

the other two saddles look good as well
