Are they cut differently for boys or girls? I want to buy a 30" jacket for a friend to compete my pony bit looked on eBay and they don't seem to be gender specific :S
Not sure if there's supposed to be a difference, but I know that I wore a borrowed hacking jacket when I was about 4, borrowed from a family of boys, and it has gone back to the family to be worn by a mix of boys and girls. Amazingly, 15 years on, it's still being used!!
They are totally different cuts if you buy a reasonably well cut jacket. The girls ones are cut for a waist and the boys are not (as well as the buttons). My son is 10 and is now really needing a boys jacket as the girls ones are just a little too fitted and tend to flare at the waist!
