I bought a Loveson body protector for my 8yr old daughter who is about average height/build but she cant move in it (at all, we have to take it off before she can get off!!)
Now she has a pony on loan and will be riding much more and doing roadwork etc i would like to get her a decent non-restrictive body protector, whats recommended on a budget of about £50-£60? Thanks x

Take her to a saddler who is trained to fit body protectors and get them to sort one out for her - they're all different lengths / fits and until she tries them on you won't know which one will work out best.

Racesafe.
I love mine, zip up the front so ease to get on, and off.
Shouldn't have thought they're too expensive for smaller sizes.

They need to be fitted correctly or they can be useless/dangerous. Take your daughter to a saddlery that sells a good range and see which fits. If it turns out (sod's law) that it is one beyond your budget... atleast you know what make & size to look out for on eBay or the local tack & togs sale!

Racesafe! My daughter never quibbles about wearing it cos it is so comfortable compared to any other body protector even in the summer, it was our best investment, you cannot put a price on safety what I needed was a body protector that would be worn every time she got on a pony it has to be comfortable and flexible and this was the only one on the market that could be worn for mounted games and showjumping and on and off different ponies!
