my 9 year old event horse has just been diagnosed by the vet with a chip in his coffin joint that has come off the top of the pedal bone. its only a small one according to the vet so we had it medicated hoping that the inflammation would reduce and he would be sound again to compete this season. Wondered if anyone had any experience with chipped coffin bones and if medicating them works? please help
