What is the difference between them, also how do you know which one to call out?

Could someone also give me an example of which one you would call out for what problem...

Ie.. If a horse is stiff on the left rein- a physio
If a horse is unlevel- a chiro

Just so i can figure it out!

A physio treats problems using movement and massage
A Chiropractor/osteopath treats problems with manipulation and massage.

At least thats how I understand it.

My horse has a physio.

In fact he has quite an entourage -

Vet
Physio
Saddler
EDT

agree as above re physio for muscular probs, Osteo treats bones ie the skeleton.

I would use a registered physio if I think theres tightness that needs to be worked on however if a horse is unlevel I would want to know why so would call the vet!

I was under the impression that a physio can actually do what a chiro and osteo can do, ie mobilse joints, soft tissue work, rehab programs, massage, electrotherapy, treat the rider also, etc,etc.. hence why have a chiro or osteo when you can get all 3 with a physio?

call vet, see if they are happy for someone else to look at, get a registered physio. treating 'misalignments' of bone without dealing with the cause (ie the training/conditioning, fitness, RIDER) and attending to the soft tissue problems is just a quick fix IMO.
