Chiropractor Recommendations - Aberystwth (very West Wales!)

Hi,

Everyone is so helpful on here with recommendations of various practitioners, etc. around parts of the country I'm not familiar with.

So now I am seeking a chiropractor for a client who lives near Aberystwth (hopefully spelling is correct!). She has an older mare that is in need of probably a few on -going treatments to put her right.

The chiro she used earlier this year gave a correct diagnosis on a point but then failed to provide advice and exercises on how to manage the condition.

All recommendations gratefully received as always.

I have used Gwenan Thomas from Lampeter who is an Equine Sports Massage Therapist, she's very good. You can telephone her on 01570 480636.

There is also Lowrys at www.smartvetwales.co.uk she's absolutely amazing but you have to be referred to her by your vet.

i would suggest a call to the university in Aber, they have a large equine section an regularly have visits from Chiropractors/EDTs etc, for their own horses and student liveries (i know because i was there 4 years ago...) If not call Ystwyth veterinary practice, they have a couple of vets there that serve the university (both as vets but also do lectures) they might be able to help.

I wouldn't call the Equine Unit for any equine advice I'd go with personal recomendation. Unfortunately my good back woman has moved to Dorset so I'm looking as well.

and i would not use the ystwyth vets or the university i would look at adverts up in the local tack shops prob more reliable
