Does the colour chocolate(dark bay ) roan exist in warmbloods? With the silver grey body, solid dark brown head black points on legs and dark mane and tail

If anyone has any pictures too, even better :)

There isn't a lot of roan in warmbloods, there are a few traks and I think bukephalos 5 is likely dark bay under his roan but there aren't many colour photos of him/his reg just says roan.

Right, so warmbloods can have that chocolate roan colouring, and do exists, but they are rare to come across?
Has their ever been any in an FEI events?

Warmblood isn't really a breed, so it can have all sorts of random bits of bloodlines thrown in. I assume that there hasn't been much of a market for roan warmbloods specifically, because no one has really gone to the effort of breeding some decent ones, unlike the creamies and coloureds.

I've never seen or heard of one so would be interested to see any if they're about. As DabDab says, warmbloods are more a type. I call mine a Warmblood mongrel as he's got all kinds him him including Trakehner, Oldenburg, Holsteiner, Danish, Hanoverian & Westphalian o_O

Is that from the computer game BB. I ask because I've had a similar question before by someone non horsey because of the 'chocolate roan Dutch warmblood' in the game.

It was actually on the back of seeing a picture of my horse who is roan-looking and has the build of a small warmblood

ETA: I think the picture that prompted the computer game question was this one

you will never see me use the word chocolate when talking about horse colours, it is totally incorrect and means many different genetics to different people/countries.

DD that looks more LP from that pic.

Fine, brown then, or bay roan, even though bay roan is different to “ chocolate “ roan

Yeah she is, it was a non horsey person who asked if she is a 'chocolate roan Dutch warmblood', because they thought she looked like the horse on the computer game. Then they had to explain the computer game to me - it was very educational for someone like me who isn't very down with the kids :p

Though her passport does say bay roan...No chocolate there though
