SS dilema....
I know this person has a horse, and this person gave me a good length of rein to find something useful!!
So, I've narrowed it down to-
1) A saddle cloth
2) Over reach boots
3) Hind leg brushing boots (I've got a theory behind this!!)

My budget is 'average', so what would be the best choice??

:D if i was receiving the present i would prefer the saddle cloth as im a bit fussy about type and sizing of overreach boots and brushing boots. you can get saddle cloths with name or initials embroidered on which is nice and personal. im pretty sure i saw some on e bay, not too expensive.. nice that you are putting so much thought in to the gift, good luck

I would prefer the brushing boots. I do however have alot of numnahs and over reach boots. ;) I think that as long as you know the build and size of the horse, it would be easy to get brushing boots that will fit. I was once given a numnah that was too small for my saddle. It made me quite sad as it was a lovely, thought out prezzie but even though the pony was a pony he had a 17.5 saddle and needed a full size saddle cloth. My mare takes small over reach boots but a horse at my old yard was the same height as her but needed XL ones.

Just order it well in advance and get advice on who is best for the job, I used a company on ebay for a personalised saddlecloth and it was 2 weeks late and turned up with stains on it and the stitching was all looped and crappy.

I would say saddle cloth. Maybe a nice embroidered one? I am rather fussy with boots, and I guess a lot of people would not know which size/make of boot fit my horses best. However you can never have too many saddle cloths :)
