Choosing a trailer, comments please..

I'm looking into getting a trailer to take my two to (for now) local shows, dressage etc. I have a heavyweight 15.2 cob and a youngster who is around 16hands now but could potentially make 17hh/17.1hh. Ideally I'd like to be able to take both out together, eventually and would like suggestions on the safest/most economical way to do this. I don't need storage space or living in the trailer as we have a huge 4x4 which will take all equipment/water required.

I really like the Bateson Deauville and Ascot, but have used friends' Ifor Williams and found those to be good. My budget is around £3500 and I'm not bothered about colour etc, just nice, light, airy, spacious and comfortable traveling for my ponies. I'd also appreciate opinions on the anti snaking stabiliser thingys that are available too...

The new ifor Hb511 are really light and airy with plenty of space for two big horses. I've had mine for a couple of years now and am really impressed with it.

Up there ^^^^ is suppose to say - I'll be very sad to see it go early next year but I am getting a lorry instead.

3WiseBeasties would your trailer be in my price range? Not sure what the 511s go for? I'm not rushing to buy as we've only just started thinking about it, but it would be handy to know. I can't seem to find any second hand in the trailer dealerships locally, they're all 505s around here. :(

I had a ascot and the use of a IW personaly my choice would be the bateson nicer to tow and better suspension, both
makes hold there value, oh and the ascot has a usefull cupbord in the front ...
 
There's also the Wessex Olympian, which is a very good trailer. As for the anti-snaking device, I'm not an expert but I looked into having one and I seem to recall that they aren't really necessary on horse trailers, which are double axeled and fairly stable anyway - more for single axel caravans which tend to be bigger, lighter and more likely to be driven at speed.
 
Bc1 - it will be over your budget by about £500 as it has lots of extras on it which obviously bumped the price I paid for it up. (not definitely fixed the priced yet but that's kind off my thinking at the moment for it).
 
Wessex olympian is the box I've got. I've had my pony and friends horses travelling in it. Really nice box, haven't had any problems with it and Dad always said it was nice to tow - nicer than the caravan anyway!!
 
I've got an Ifor 510 classic. Fits my 16.2 Irish and 15.1 heavy cob in fantastically.

It's the only trailer i've towed, but i'm delighted with it. Paid just under £3k earlier this year. It's a 2005 trailer.
