Choosing between OH's and horseys!

Another forever single here!!!! I too have experienced far too many jealous of my horse types... and downright nutters. Given up looking now and given in to being the Bridget Jones of the horse world!! Not too fed up though... how can you be when you are lucky enough to have a gorgeous horse? :)

I married a very horsie man but it doesn't mean they get it either. When my jumper Abba was born 6 years ago I was in love the min she hit the straw. Abba has also been one of those horse's that finds trouble at every turn. So of course over the years we've had differences of opinions on Ab Fab. It annoys him to no end but sorry to say he knows his place. But I have often heard him telling the story to people when she had some sort of neck/head injury as a 2 1/2 month old foal. While we were waiting for the vet for over 2 hours we got her settled with her head on my lap. Hubby kept bringing me out cups of coffee while I cried and talked to her. While all the horses are definitely ours, she is mine. And I agree that I have let her get away with things over the years because I always thought she was on borrowed time. And there are times when I'm like geez a Lou Abba, quit doing things to get me in trouble! It's quite comical actually.

You will find someone who knows their place. Until then, never settle!

Agree with those who say that controlling OHs (male or female) and ultimatums are a no-no.

Besides, if you're in a really longterm relationship, after a while I think you come to appreciate the OH having a hobby so you don't spend the whole time getting under each others' feet :D

Not bragging, but I'm engaged to my horsey man after previous ones who just didn't get it! Even one who was obsessed with football didn't like the fact I was going up every spare moment yet conveniently I never saw him at weekends due to him kicking a bag of wind about.
Needless to say he was gone in a matter of weeks and 4 years after meeting my hubby to be we're here organizing our honeymoon to go on a safari horseback. I still feel like the luckiest girl ever being with him, how I got lucky I'll never know..

Actually, Kelly generally tells me if I've got a keeper or not....

Ex - terrified of her, she spent the whole time taking the utter mickey, following him round, head on his shoulder, ears flat back. ;):D

Ex before him - controlling piece of dirt. She double barrelled him for NO reason and completely took the pi$$ when he was riding.

My first boyfriend - lovely guy but just fizzled out after 3 years, she LOVED him.

Current boyfriend - loves him too! Never puts a foot wrong when he's got her.

My (horsey) ex and I used to argue about how much the horses cost. Now I'm finally single again the love me love my horse is going to be my mantra! However as one of my little darlings has been known to get rid of people for me I'm going to be very fussy!
