Have trawled the the Christmas Lammfelle posts on here but can't find the info I'm after..
Looking into getting one as haven't ridden Tris for a while, he's changed shape and tbh I miss riding bareback. Avoiding going totally bareback as I'm concerned about him getting rubs from my breeches over winter or the friction against his coat (esp in wet weather)being uncomfortable for him. I would ride with a roller and pad but find rollers really uncomfortable for me - I end up sitting quite far back which isn't good for either of us!
Very wary of how soggy they'll get in wet weather but I'm optimistic we'll have few enough days of truly rank weather that we can just have those as days off
I'm more concerned being able to use an exercise sheet with them.
I'm assuming people do use exercise sheets with them on very chilly days? If so, what's your set up? Do you have wrap around sheets? Or pop a numnah underneath them? Or should I forget about trying to get on board until Spring?
