Just pondering really and wondering what everyone will be doing over the festive season..or not doing because of their animals...there will be those up to their eyeballs in too many family/visitors that really they would love to be spending it alone...or quietly...and those who will be the exact opposite & will be on their own...wishing for a little bit of festive commotion.. & those bah humbugging to their hearts content!
Winter & Christmas absolutely used to be the best time of year for me, but lost my Dad on my birthday in early december 8years ago and he was buried on the 17th Dec..so its kind of knocked the stuffing out of it for me,but I still try to be festive. This year I've managed to feel festive early because of all of you lot & HHO SS..
we just need some decent frosty crisp (ok hard ground, no rain /mud) and I'll be even merrier!
I'll be staying home with dog & horses ..then not for Christmas but at some time thereabouts, Mum will be appearing at some point before or after around her work(she looks after an elderly man with dementia so will make sure he isn't alone as he lost his partner last year).
I love getting to spend every day with my animals but couldn't bare not to see them on Christmas Day so they get pestered more than usual...and the polar bear & I will have a huge (dog friendly) mega roast..he'll probably have turkey & duck with veggies & I'll eat that & all the naughty bits he can't have(onions etc)..I also make him wholegrain oaty carrot cakes instead of Christmas pud...and organic wholemeal liver pies to have when i have mince pies...just that he has natural yoghurt on his & I have brandy butter on mine...please God I don't get mixed up after a few!

Is anyone on their own & not looking forward to it?or are you overrun & plotting your devious escape(after donning the Santa outfit are you sneaking in the field to prepare some fencing job creation for Christmas day?
brandy snaps with blueberry & vanilla icecream dipped in white truffley chocolate sauce(well
perhaps not as much as there may have been...I got peckish!)
