Do your doggies get anything special for there Christmas dinner?
I remember feeding the old collies absolutely everything. They especially loved the custard?
Anyone have any delicacies they make up especially or their pooches? Looking for some idea's for Scruff!

Muppet gets 'Christmas Dinner' but at his normal meal time. I cut out the really unhealthy stuff but he enjoys his turkey, pigs in blankets, veg & 'proper' gravy. I draw the line at letting him have dessert though!

When we have our christmas dinner we usually eat at lunch time so he gets something like a raw hide chew to keep him happy while we indulge

Not sure if anyone in our house is getting Christmas dinner this year--the oven has decided not to work tonight!!!!!
Vibes please that we can get it fixed before Christmas day!!!

Ozzie gets nothing new on Christmas Day (or any bank holiday/weekend) as I recon its a sure fire way to a vets bill!!!

He does get a treat like a pig ear or something on Christmas Day, but he has had them before so I know they aren't going to upset his tum!!

I feel your pain Goya, mine broke down before last Christmas - however, it can be done with a table top oven! bit of juggling went on but I had a hob still so that helped. Yes it was a bit manic and the turkey only just fit in, but I remembered everyone who doesn't even get a Christmas dinner, so the fiddling wasn't so bad

I was just thinking the same tonight what we shall give him this Christmas. He's a BT and loves his food so we have to watch him. I see no harm in giving them a little of our food - for example, last night he had some of my rice with his dog food meat. I didn't think he'd eat the chilli!

As we speak he's digesting some lasangne with some of his dog food meat.
He often gets left over veg too and loves it.

He has to wait until after we have finished tho!

My dogs (and my horses) get exactly the same food on Christmas Day as they get every other day throughout the year.

Hope your doggies enjoy their special treats though

Mine get exactly the same as every other time. One is a fussy eater so I don't want her to think she can have human food and stop eating her own.

Mine usually gets some extra of their favourite leftovers, potatoes and other vegetables, but only served as usual dog food. Ham is to salt, maybe some turkey if we eat it this year, but then I use it as treats for a little training.

They might get a larger piece than normal of bull penis though.

Thank you for your sympathy Breeze's Mum. A man is coming to try and fix the oven tomorrow so fingers and toes crossed. I haven't got a table top oven so not sure how to cook turkey on the hob!!!!!
Oh well as you say there are loads of people who haven't any chance at all of Christmas Dinner at any time so we must count our blessings.

{{{Wish that Goyas oven can get fixed tomorrow}}}, fingers crossed. If he can't help, we were without an oven a few Christmases ago, and it did feel strange, but it wasn't less Christmassy, just different and we made more of an effort to remember doing other things that made us feel the Christmas spirit.
