Christmas present for farrier and vet - do you?

Will be getting the farrier something this year, he's been excellent, always tries to accommodate at short notice, and comes out to refit lost shoes for no charge. Today he helped us hammer the corrugated barn wall back into place, and nailed a piece of wood to the bottom so that none of the others got injured. He's worth his weight in gold.

Farrier, yes. He does a super job through the year, didn't charge us more when his prices went up, will come out ASAP if horses pull a shoe/lameness/abscess and won't charge for it. Plus he is a pleasure to have around!!

I shall be making some flapjack for him and his apprentice!

Vets no - I've seen them for jabs & it's a different vet each time.

Farrier - yes, last year I got her fleece Joules socks, gin & chocolates.

Will be getting my instructor a present too - I see her at least once a month & has literally turned my horse around, so will get her something nice.

If my Farrier has a visit booked in December I will give him a box of chocolates, if not, like this year, he dips out. He knows I love him :)

My Vet, every year I buy 2 return tickets for him and his wife. Canada ---> UK
This year I have already pre-paid for his 2014 vacation :D

Enfys I was about to write that I've already bought my vet a holiday home in the sun this year haha.

My farrier on the other hand gets a jar of homemade chutney, some nice cheese and a packet of Bath Olivers.
