Local pet supplies store has a poster advert in this morning for husky/malamute puppies" ready for Christmas"
how irresponsible, its not their ad but I would have thought that after all the campaigns etc. they would have
refused to post the ad.

i dont like it either but its all about the £`sss,
money for the pups-money for the advert

i would have thought a responsible breeder would not want them going into new homes just as all the festivities are going on :( :(

There are so many crosses being bred now, Ive just seen an ad for a huskador, had to think about that one, and a llasapoo!
They are not cheap either, over £600. They are MONGRELS aren't they ? I have a border collie x corgi. A borgie ? Hes a mongrel at the end of the day

Battersea and other rescues will be overrun with the unwanted litters bred for Christmas. Can't begin to tell you how much I despise people who do this.

I once had a litter which was ready to go just before Christmas. The bitch had such random seasons I couldn't risk not taking her when she came in. However, although all pups were booked way before Christmas I didnt let anyone of them go to their new homes until after the New Year, which their new owners accepted and in fact appreciated. With the best will in the world the chaos of Christmas is not a good time to introduce a new pup to the home
It amazes me that people still advertise litters as "ready for Christmas", just so irresponsible. :(
